Commercial strike in al-Khalil in solidarity with al-Qeiq

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– A commercial strike paralyzed al-Khalil’s commercial sector on Sunday in solidarity with journalist Mohammed al-Qeiq who has been on hunger strike in Israeli captivity for three months. Political forces in the province called for the strike via loudspeakers that were held over vehicles touring the streets of the province with photos of al-Qeiq attached to them. Eyewitnesses told the PIC that shopkeepers were absolutely committed to the strike, closing their doors and hanging photos of al-Qeiq along with the phrase “closed in solidarity with the captive hero Mohammed al-Qeiq”.
