PALESTINE POST Update, Jan. 14th


1- Several Palestinian citizens from Jiftlik village in the Jordan Valley received on Tuesday Israeli military orders threatening to demolish their homes and structures at the pretext they are located in Area C, which is under Israel’s control.

2- Israeli Central Court in Jerusalem held a hearing for the three Israelis who burned the Palestinian child Mohammad Abu Khdair alive in 2014. Two minors and a third man snatched Mohammed Abu Khdeir, 16, from an east Jerusalem street and subsequently killed him by burning him alive.

3- The Jordanian Consul in Israel Walid Ebaidat visited the Jordanian captive Abdullah Nouh Abu Jaber who has been on hunger strike for over two months.

4- Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas threatened to retaliate against the Israeli continuous aggression on Gaza Strip and the Palestinian people.

5- Ten Palestinians were injured on Wednesday in clashes with the Israeli forces in Bethlehem in the southern West Bank. Meanwhile, dozens of others choked on tear gas.

6- The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) have applied the force-feeding law on the detained Palestinian journalist Mohammad al-Qeiq, by introducing solutions into his body against his will, which is a serious practice and contrary to international conventions.

7- The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) stormed and searched at dawn Wednesday a number of Palestinian homes in al-Khalil and Tulkarem in the West Bank.

8- A Palestinian young man was killed and three others were injured by Israeli artillery shelling on Wednesday morning west of Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza Strip.

9- A number of Palestinians were injured while others were arrested as clashes broke out overnight throughout occupied West Bank towns and cities.

10- Israeli forces Thursday shot and killed a Palestinian near the Beit Einun junction northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron after an alleged stab attempt, witnesses and Israel’s army said.

11- Israeli forces stationed at the Beit Einun junction on Wednesday evening opened fire on a Palestinian driver they described as “suspicious” before afterward detaining him.

1- Palestinian activists on Wednesday released video footage purportedly filmed by Israeli soldiers at clashes in Ramallah during which they can apparently be heard congratulating one another on shooting Palestinians. Palestinian protesters said they found the footage on a camera that was dropped by an Israeli soldier during clashes near Ramallah.

2- A United Nations database for prospective aid recipients in Gaza may provide Israel information on its future targets, a report says.

3- The database was complied according to the terms of the UN-backed Gaza Reconstruction Mechanism (GRM). According to University of Nottingham Professor Nigel White, it violates the very “right to life” of the Palestinians.

4- Israeli occupation says Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom is not welcome in Israel after she called for an investigation into the large number of Palestinians being killed by Israeli forces.

5- Israeli soldiers kidnapped, on Thursday at dawn, two young Palestinian men in the al-Yamoun town, west of the northern West Bank district of Jenin. One Palestinian kidnapped near Hebron, on Wednesday evening.
