QALQILYA, (PIC)– At least 30 Palestinian civilians sustained injuries on Sunday evening in a wave of violent clashes that rocked Qalqilya’s eastern town of Azzoun, in the central occupied West Bank.
The Red Crescent in Qalqilya said 30 Palestinians suffered injuries and effects of gas inhalation after the Israeli occupation forces attacked them with heavy spates of rubber bullets and tear gas canisters.
The Red Crescent emergency crews said they treated 13 civilians for rubber bullet injuries and 17 others for breathing disorders.
Violent clashes flared up following a march staged after al-Isha (evening) prayers to demand the release of 15-year-old Kariman Sweidan, kidnapped by the occupation troops near northern Qalqilya.
