OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– At least 12 Palestinian civilians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) from the occupied West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem at dawn Monday and overnight Sunday.
Eyewitnesses said an Israeli undercover unit rolled into al-Duheisheh refugee camp, in Bethlehem city, and kidnapped the 23-year-old ex-prisoner Muhammad al-Ja’idi after they broke into his family home.
Other IOF troops were summoned for reinforcement so as to ensure the safe withdrawal of the undercover unit, sparking violent clashes with the locals.
Sources based in al-Khalil said an overnight sweep by the IOF culminated in the abduction of three Palestinian youths from Beit Awa and three other youngsters, including two ex-prisoners from Halhul, both in al-Khalil province.
The IOF further kidnapped Dr. Abdul Rahim Abu Shanab and the university student Hadi al-Sadr from Tulkarem district.
Two 16-year-old minors, identified as Ali and Ahmad Aweissat, along with another civilian, were also kidnapped by the IOF from occupied Jerusalem.
The campaign makes part of Israeli intents to terrorize Palestinian civilians and quell anti-occupation activism across the occupied Palestinian territories.
