OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– Two Palestinian youths were killed and four others were injured by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at predawn time Wednesday in violent clashes rocking the Qalandiya refugee camp, in northern Occupied Jerusalem.
According to the Qalandiya Information Center, 21-year-old Ahmad Jahjouh and Hikmat Hamdan were killed in the clashes that burst out shortly after the IOF stormed the Qalndiya refugee camp.
Israeli news outlets claimed a Palestinian youth rammed his white car into three occupation soldiers in al-Yasamin neighborhood. The driver, identified later as Ahmad Jahjouh, was shot from a three-meter-distance and left bleeding to death.
Israeli helicopters reportedly evacuated the three wounded soldiers.
Eyewitnesses said the occupation troops kidnapped the bodies of the two slain Palestinians.
The reasons and circumstances for the murder of Hikmat have not, however, yet been identified. Reports have been released on the youth’s potential involvement in an anti-occupation car-ramming.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Health Ministry said four Palestinians sustained live bullet injuries in their stomachs and lower limbs after they were directly shot by the IOF in the Qalandiya camp.
The four casualties were rushed to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah for urgent treatment.
Violent clashes burst out after dozens of Israeli troops and undercover patrols rolled into the Qalandiya camp in several military jeeps and troop-carriers at 1 a.m.
The IOF reportedly prevented ambulances and paramedics from reaching the scene to evacuate the injured protesters.
The assault culminated in the abduction of a number of Palestinian youths, including Mahmoud Abu Latifa.
The IOF troops also wreaked havoc on civilian homes and commercial stores before they withdrew at 4 a.m.
