Medics: 8 workers injured after chase with Israeli military

HEBRON (Ma’an) — Eight Palestinian workers were injured on Monday after a bus they were traveling in collided with an Israeli military vehicle south of Hebron, a medical official said.

Red Crescent official Nasser Qabaja told Ma’an that Palestinian ambulances transferred eight workers to hospital following the incident.

Witnesses said that the accident occurred after an Israeli military patrol chased the bus carrying laborers, leading to a collision.

Mahmud Mohammad Ezreqat, 23, Jamil Samamreh, 22, Amir Moahmmad Ezreqat, 25, Omar Nasser Ezreqat, 18, Salameh Shaker Ezreqat, 25, Abed al-Fatah al-Mansi, 38, Fadi Aref Abu Salem, 30, and Mohammd Ziyyad Ezreqat, 26, were identified as those injured.

An Israeli army spokeswoman did not return calls seeking comment.

Meanwhile, two Palestinian workers from Dura were injured late Sunday after being chased by Israeli forces while on their way to work in Jerusalem, locals said.

Wajde Nabil Amro, 22, and Radwan Yousef Amro, 20, were transferred to Hadassa hospital in Jerusalem after falling into a hole and are currently under Israeli custody.
