Israeli occupation arrested Sheikh Ra’ed Salah, the leader of the Islamic movement in 1948 occupied Palestine, on Tuesday.
Sources said Israeli intelligence agents intercepted Sheikh Salah’s car near Amwas area to the north west of occupied Jerusalem and took him to the Maskobeh detention center.
The sources said that Sheikh Salah was on his way to the press conference that was intended to call for massive marches to the Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday to confront the Israeli calls for storming the holy site in the few coming days on the occasion of the new Hebrew year.
They said that the agents told Sheikh Salah’s companions that the Sheikh was “inciting riots” in reference to his call for marches to the Aqsa.
