NAZARETH, (PIC)– The Israeli occupation issued since 1948 more than 60 racist laws against Palestinian citizens in the occupied territories of 1948 in all spheres of life, including education, state services, and civil and political rights.
The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel, Adalah, confirmed in a statement that a part of these racist laws violate the Palestinian people’s rights in occupied territories and Palestinian refugees’ rights.
“Discrimination extends to all spheres of life, including land, education, allocation of budgets, prisoners and other civil and political rights”, said the center in a press statement.
The center announced the launch of a database of Israeli racist laws to coincide with Netanyahu new government assuming its role, and on the eve of World Day to combat all forms of Racial Discrimination, which falls next Friday.
The discrimination laws database, the first of its kind, will be reviewing dozens of racist laws, with a summary of each in Arabic, Hebrew and English. The database will also contain information about petitions to the Supreme Court against the some of these laws.
It also contains inflammatory and racist law drafts put down in the eighteenth legislative session of Knesset (2009-2012), that may be put on the table again.
