Cuban Foreign Minister: Cuba Supports Palestinian Right to Statehood

HAVANA, August 7, 2011 (WAFA) – Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodriguez, Saturday stressed on Cuba’s full support of the Palestinian state, its historical struggle and its right to self-determination and sovereignty of an independent state.

In a meeting with Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Malki, at the Cuban Foreign Ministry Headquarters, Rodriguez assured his countries support of a Palestinian state based on the 1967 and with East Jerusalem as its capital by voting in the United Nations’ (UN) upcoming General Assembly’s session, according to Cuban ‘Prensa Latina’ news agency.

Al-Malki said his visit to Cuba is part of a campaign carried out by the Palestinian Authority (PA) to promote the recognition of a Palestinian State by the Security Council member countries in September.

Al-Malki expressed his full gratitude towards Cuba’s full support of a Palestinian state and solidarity to the Palestinian cause.

  1. All this waste of time, money and effort. And for what? We all know the result in advance. Even if a miracle happens and we get the numbers we need, the American VETO is waiting like a sledgehammer. They used it on 41 different occasions in the past and are ready to use it again.

    Employ all this time money and effort to demonise Israel. Let the world know that the racist Zionists are the enemy of humanity. Magnify their utter disregard for the rule of law and the international community. That way PALESTINE will stay in focus. That way you have the evidence of their intransigence and aggression to present to the world. That way you may get the desired result we are all fighting and hoping for. To regain OUR land, FREE, united, proud and PALESTINIAN.
