Israeli forces arrest Palestinian in Jericho, settlers storm Walaja

Israeli occupation forces on Friday morning arrested a Palestinian citizen in Jericho City, while hordes of Israeli settlers raided al-Walaja village west of Bethlehem City.

Local sources said that the Israeli occupation forces stormed Jericho City and kidnapped Dawood al-Ajlouni, 35, after searching his home and wreaking havoc on it.

Meanwhile, a group of Israeli settlers, escorted by Israeli occupation forces, entered al-Walaja village, roamed its streets, and visited lands threatened with confiscation in favor of the construction of new settler outposts.

Over the past few years, dozens of Palestinian homes have been demolished and vast tracts of privately-owned lands have been seized in al-Walaja to serve new settlement expansion projects.
