GAZA, PALESTINOW.COM — The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, on Thursday strongly slammed the new peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Hamas issued a press statement saying that the agreement is a “treacherous stab in the back of the Palestinian people”.

Hamas described the deal as “a blatant assault on our religious, national, and historical rights in Palestine” and “a miserable attempt to influence the Palestinian people’s struggle and resistance path aimed at defeating the [Israeli] occupation.”

The Palestinian resistance movement stressed that this deal will always be remembered as a “black page” in the UAE’s history.

Hamas urged the Arab and Muslim peoples not to be influenced by such shady agreements, to maintain their support for the Palestinian people and their just cause, and to reject normalization with the Israeli occupation in all its forms.

It also called on the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to condemn the agreement and take a serious action against it.
