Israeli forces notified today for the demolition of a stable and two storage shops in the occupied Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabal al-Mukabber, citing unpermitted construction as a pretext, according to local sources.
A second Palestinian critically injured this morning in the northern West Bank city of Jenin by Israeli army gunfire has succumbed to his wounds, according to the Ministry of Health.
It identified him as Tareq Ahmad Badwan, 25, from Qalqilya, and he was reported to be a first lieutenant in the Palestinian police force.
Reports said Badwan was shot inside the police station in an unprovoked situation.
Earlier the soldiers shot and killed Yazan Abu Tabikh, 19, in clashes that broke out when soldiers raided Jenin to demolish the family home of Palestinian detainee Ahmad Qunba.
During the clashes, Israeli soldiers opened fire at protesters killing two and injuring seven others.
This is the second time the army demolishes the Qunba house. The first time was after the arrest of Ahmad on charges of taking part in the killing of a settler near Nablus early 2018. The family later rebuilt the house, which was turned into rubble once again this morning as part of Israel’s collective punishment policy against Palestinians under its military occupation.
A general strike was call for in Jenin today to protest the killing of Abu Tabikh and the demolition of the house.
Israel’s occupation forces killed an underage teen in the city of Hebron on the occupied West Bank on Wednesday February 5th.
16-year-old Mohammed Salman al-Haddad was shot by Israeli occupation soldiers positioned at the entrance to the Al-Shuhada Street during clashes between the occupation troops and a small number of youths in the Bab al-Zawiyeh area of the city.
Such clashes have been ongoing daily at Bab al-Zawiyeh (where the Palestinian Authority and Israeli occupation controlled parts of Hebron meet) since the unveiling of Donald Trump’s “Deal of the Century”.
Mohammed was carried away by his comrades and taken to a hospital in a civilian car. He arrived to the hospital in a critical condition but was declared dead soon after. The bullet had hit him in heart.
Mohammed al-Haddad’s funeral took place in the early evening and the participants in the funeral procession from the hospital first to his family home and then to a mosque and the graveyard were harassed by Israeli occupation forces.
Most press reports give Mohammed al-Haddad’s age as 17, but this is not correct. His identity card was posted on social media and it shows that his date of birth was March 31st 2003.
