Israeli soldiers invaded, on Friday evening, Safa area in Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, and attacked Palestinian protesters, causing many to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation, and confiscated two cars.
Local media activist, Mohammad Ayyad Awad, said the soldiers closed the town’s main road, before stopping and searching dozens of cars, and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.
He added that several Palestinian youngsters protested the invasion, and hurled stones at the soldiers who fired many rubber-coated steel bullets and gas bombs.
Medical sources said several Palestinians suffered the effects of teargas inhalation, before receiving the needed treatment by local medics.
The soldiers also stopped and confiscated two Palestinian cars before withdrawing from the town.
