TWO WOUNDED, JOURNALIST ARRESTED IN TEKOA BY ISRAELI OCCUPATION FORCES

Israel’s occupation forces wounded two people moderately, one in head and one in foot, in attack on the weekly Friday demonstration in the West Bank village on Tekoa and arrested photojournalist Imad Jibreen on January 25th. Israel’s occupation soldiers used both live and rubber-coated steel bullets against locals in the village near Bethlehem, which also saw several raids during the preceding week. Dozens of people also suffered ill effects of tear gas inhalation in Tekoa. The village’s name is also transliterated as Taqqou and Tuqu to English.
