The Palestinian Authority (PA) Preventive Forces in Tulkarem refused on Thursday morning a Palestinian family’s appeals to release their detained son.
The family of the photojournalist Hazem Naser said their son has been held in custody by the PA Preventive Forces in Tulkarem for the second day running.
The family appealed to the Journalists’ Union and human rights organizations to work on releasing their son, arbitrarily held in the PA dungeons.
Violations and arrests by the PA forces against Palestinian journalists have been on the rise throughout the occupied Palestinian territories. The new Cyber Crimes Law has resulted in more crackdowns against journalists and anti-occupation activists.
