Minor injured in IOF quelling of Kafr Qaddum march

A Palestinian boy was injured on Friday as Israeli occupation forces (IOF) quelled the anti-settlement weekly march of Kafr Qaddum to the east of Qalqilya.

Popular Resistance Committee in Kafr Qaddum said that the 14-year-old Yousuf Amer was shot with a rubber-coated metal bullet in the abdomen.

Peaceful marches take place in Kafr Qaddum on a weekly basis to demand the re-opening of the village’s main road which has been closed for more than 14 years.

Two Jerusalemites arrested over alleged weapon possession


Israeli police on Friday arrested two Palestinians in Beit Hanina neighborhood in Occupied Jerusalem for allegedly possessing weapons and took them for interrogation.

The police said that they seized three pieces of weapon of various kinds in addition to some ammunition and arrested two Palestinians during raids on Palestinian houses in Jerusalem.

An Israeli police spokesman said that the raids were part of a campaign launched by the police “to confiscate illegal weapons” in Jerusalem.

He added that the operation, which targeted specific houses, was carried out with the participation of the police dogs unit and border guards.

Mufti: No dignity for Muslims as long as Palestine is occupied

Lebanon’s grand mufti, sheikh Abdul Latif Darian, said on Friday that Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque are subjected to a fierce Judaization campaign launched by Israel.

Delivering his Eid al-Adha sermon at central Beirut’s Mohammed al-Ameen Mosque, Darian called on Muslims not to abandon the Palestinian cause, saying, “There will be no dignity for Arabs and Muslims as long as Palestine is under Israeli occupation.”

Darian stressed, “On this day we must remember the millions of people killed in their own countries and those who were unjustly displaced from their land.”
