The Palestinian resistances at dawn Tuesday managed to control and seize an Israeli reconnaissance plane in the central area of the Gaza Strip.
Eyewitnesses told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that resistance fighters took hold of an Israeli drone after it fell down in Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, and took it to an unknown place.
There is still no comment on the incident from any resistance faction in Gaza.
The Israeli army, for its part, confirmed it had lost contact with one of its drones while on a reconnaissance mission over Gaza at an early morning hour today.
The circumstances of the incident are being investigated, but Israeli military sources noted that there is no fear that any sensitive information was leaked.
Consequently, the Israeli army intensified its drone overflights in Gaza, especially in its border areas, following the incident.
In a similar incident last week, a similar drone crashed in the West Bank area of Bethlehem.
Over the past years, the Palestinian resistance in Gaza controlled and seized several Israeli drones.
