The Sixth Conference to Support the Intifada is expected to kick off on February 20 in Tehran, an Iranian official said.
Speaking in a meeting with Hamas representative in Iran, Khaled Qaddoumi, on Saturday the Special Advisor to Majlis Speaker for International Affairs, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, said efforts have been in full swing to host the pro-Intifada conference.
The Iranian official called on the Muslim nation to combine forces so as to thwart hostile schemes weaved by the Israeli occupation and other enemies.
Abdollahian reiterated Iran’s unyielding back-up for the oppressed Palestinian people and the legitimate Palestinian cause.
At the same time, the Hamas delegate briefed his Iranian host on the latest developments emerging on the Palestinian arena, most notably the Israeli escalations in the West Bank, Occupied Jerusalem, and 1948 Occupied Palestine (Green Line).
Al-Qaddoumi harked back to the latest Israeli crimes in the unrecognized Palestinian village of Umm al-Hiran, dubbing them another chapter in the history of ethnic cleansing and oppression perpetrated by the occupation forces against the Palestinians.
