GAZA, (PIC)– First Deputy Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) Ahmad Bahar asked world parliaments to support the Palestinian Question and provide protection to Islamic and Christian sacred places as well as to put an end to Israeli settlers’ repeated incursions into the Aqsa Mosque. In his participation at the international parliamentary forum, which was held on Sunday in Gaza by the Change and Reform bloc in the PLC, Bahar demanded the European Parliament along with all parliamentary unions to pressure the governments of their countries in order to halt the Israeli detention of Palestinian MPs. He called on the international parliamentary union to end the membership of the Israeli Knesset due to its racist laws which run contrary to the international humanitarian law. Bahar also appealed to the leaders of the Muslim world, who started the 15th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Sunday in Istanbul, especially the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and King of Saudi Arabia to take decisions and initiatives to back up the Palestinian Question at the regional and international levels. He also invited the speakers of Arab and international parliaments to visit the PLC.
