Indonesian parliamentary delegation in Gaza next Wednesday

GAZA, (PIC)– The Palestinian legislative council (PLC) said it made all preparations for the reception of the high-level parliamentary delegation from Indonesia led by speaker Marzuki Ali.

Spokesman for the PLC Majed Abu Murad said the delegation is slated to arrive in Gaza next Wednesday and would be received by deputy speaker Ahmed Baher.

Abu Murad added that such visits represent the unity of the Muslim nation in its support for Palestine and Jerusalem and a big step forward on the road to liberate the holy city and the Aqsa Mosque.

The spokesman noted that the delegation would visit the PLC headquarters to meet with Palestinian lawmakers and would meet with premier Ismail Haneyya.

The delegation will also be taken on a tour in Gaza, including visits to the tomb of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and the Indonesian hospital.

Marzuki was the first speaker of a parliament who visited Gaza after the end of the first Israeli war on Gaza in 2009. During his visit he opened some projects in Gaza including the Indonesian hospital.
