NABLUS, (PIC)– Political science professor at the Palestinian al-Najah University, Abdel Sattar Qassem, criticized Fatah’s calls on resistance factions in the Gaza Strip to stop armed resistance against the occupation.
Qassem called, in statements to Quds Press, for maintaining the armed resistance as “a way towards the liberation of the land and confronting the occupation”.
He also stressed that the resistance must continue in an attempt to put pressure on the occupation and to force it to give up and withdraw.
The Palestinian political analyst added that the occupied West Bank needs to adopt the option of armed military resistance to be able to confront the occupation army and respond to settlers attacks, while Gaza needs to develop its military capabilities in preparation for defending the Gaza Strip against any future Israeli aggression.
