French Cardiac Team saves nine lives in Gaza

PCRF, March 7, 2012
In early March, a five-member team from Toulouse in France completed a week-long cardiac surgery mission to the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Younis near the Egyptian border. Led by Surgeon Prof. Yves Glock, the team include anesthesiologist Dr. Chantal Meyssirel, cardiologist Dr. Philippe Luxereau, perfusionist Michel Riviere and OR nurse Nadine Meireles. Prof. Glock worked two years ago in Ramallah Hospital with the PCRF, and Dr. Luxereau has organized and volunteered on many past PCRF missions and activities to the West Bank and Gaza. This is the first foreign cardiac surgery mission to the new department at the European Hospital.
