BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) — Palestinian Authority security forces detained two men from Duheisha refugee camp in Bethlehem on Wednesday after clashes broke out between residents.

A dispute between a landlord and his tenants is thought to have sparked the clashes. Residents threw stones at security forces who tried to intervene in the incident, a Ma’an correspondent said.

A number of security officers were injured in the clashes and transferred to Beit Jala hospital. Injured camp residents were transferred to a local clinic.

Local camp officials are coordinating with the Palestinian Authority and security services to bring the situation under control.
